Cole Schneider
CFP
Financial Planner
Cole’s interest in financial planning began during university, where theories and principles of personal finance and economics classes sparked his fascination with financial strategy and wealth management.

While attending university, he began his finance career as an analyst at a Big Five bank. After earning his BBA in Finance, he became an advisor but soon realized that bank culture didn’t align with his values. Sales targets often took priority over meaningful, client-centered advice – and success was defined by the quantity of products sold over the quality of advice delivered.

Seeking greater fulfillment, Cole began searching for a firm that aligned more closely with his beliefs: that financial advice should center around the client’s life goals and come free of conflicts of interest.

In 2022, Cole joined The Dixon Davis Group team as a fee-only financial planner, where he found the opportunity to provide the kind of financial guidance he believes all Canadians deserve. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), he has worked with families at all stages of life. He’s created decumulation strategies for multi-corporate structures, savings acceleration strategies for families aiming to achieve early financial independence, and helped many soon-to-be retirees better understand their cash flow.

Cole is deeply engaged in financial planning research, particularly in translating complex ideas into practical tools for clients. Most recently, he has focused on creating clear, concise ways to present decumulation strategies to his clients.
