How does your garden grow?
Lenore Davis is a 25-year veteran of the financial planning industry in Victoria and is Chairman of the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners. She learned her profession while contracted with Mutual Life of Canada, working in life and disability insurance, taxation and investing. Lenore qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner and, in 1988, became a partner in Dixon, Davis and Company. She was awarded the designation of Registered Financial Planner in 1995 and Certified Financial Planner in 1996.
At Dixon, Davis & Company, Lenore provides a wide range of personally tailored financial-planning solutions to her select clientele of high net-worth individuals. Professionals, retirees, and persons of newly acquired wealth are among those who have found that Lenore's breadth of knowledge and experience is ideal to meet their diverse planning needs.
"My mission," she says, "is to provide timely and independent financial advice to my clients. They regard me as a vital source of financial information covering estate and retirement planning, investments, personal taxation, and money management. I provide my clients with the tools to make informed decisions when confronted by people who want to sell them financial products.”
Lenore is active in the financial planning community on Vancouver Island and is frequently quoted in Money Sense magazine, The Globe and Mail, and Investment Executive magazine among other publications and is often invited to speak on a variety of financial planning topics.
Lenore has always been an active sports enthusiast. She is currently president of the Wicket Maidens Cricket Club and played against Bermuda in September 2006 as a member of the Canadian Women's Cricket XI. A past president of the Velox Valhallians Rugby Club, Lenore can often be found traipsing about various golf courses from coast to coast in pursuit of the elusive 59. Lenore has also been delighted to combine her two passions, finance and sport, as past chair of finance for the Gorge Vale Golf Club.
She has been seen chortling to the writing of Terry Pratchet and P.G. Wodehouse when she isn’t searching the second hand bookstores for English murder mysteries.
